Lately it seems I don’t have time to do anything. After my visit to Sitges, I’ve been travelling quite a lot so I haven't had time to start making anything from my new kits. Today I won’t be showing you anything new but I would like to share with you the nice presents I got from Mercedes, from the blog “MERPEL, fet a mà, amb el cor”, and some pictures I took in my visit to the Jerte Valley, in the county of Caceres, where I went last Sunday to visit the blossoming of the cherry trees.

Mercedes gave me a really beautiful bird house to hang from the door knob, and a case for the sunglasses. Don’t you think they are both very cute?? But I must say that the best thing was getting to know her. She is a really lovely woman who shares my passion and someone I would love to spend more time with.

¡No faltó nada!

Following you can see some of the pictures I took in my visit to the Jerte Valley. I went with my boys, my husband and my 13 year old son, and we had a great day. It was sunny and the temperature was perfect, so we enjoyed: a two hour walk, a drink in the garden of a nice restaurant with views to the beautiful cherry trees, a “tapas” lunch in the terrace of a restaurant in Plasencia and a nice cup of tea with perrunillas (very nice cookies from this area) in Plasencia’s Parador (for you who don’t know what is a Parador, these are very beautiful historic buildings which have become hotels, you can find more information in http://www.parador.es). We didn’t miss anything!!

I’ve been told that I should visit the area in June, when the cherries grow. So hopefully I will save a day or two in June to pay another visit to the Jerte Valley, I will tell you then if it’s worth it or not. Even though I’m quite sure that it will be a very beautiful experience, and I will get the chance to buy some nice cherries almost directly from the tree.
